Wedding Stationery

Can I order Samples?
Please click here to visit our wedding samples order form. Simply fill in your details and choose the samples you require (limited to 3 per customer).
We have to charge a small fee £1.50 per sample to cover materials and postage but this cost will be refunded if you proceed to place a full order. Payment can be made via Paypal (a secure credit / debit card payment system) and you do not need a paypal account to use this method. Alternatively you can send payment via cheque and your samples will be sent out once payment has cleared.

How soon will I receive my order?
Once you have placed your order and your deposit has cleared we will begin work on your proofs, these will usually be delivered to you within 14 days.
We then require you to check and sign your proofs and return them to us along with the remainder of your payment. Once we receive your approval we endeavour to fulfil your order within 4 weeks. However, if you require a shorter lead time then please contact us and we will do our very best to accommodate your needs.

Is there a minimum order?
We do not set a minimum order but if your order total is less than £100, payment must be made in full before we commence work on your proofs. Therefore, we advise you use the option to order a sample before committing to a purchase.

What are your delivery charges?
We charge a flat rate of £9.95 per order which is sent via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery. This service requires a signature upon delivery. Postage is free on all orders over £200.

Can I have my stationery made to match my colour scheme?
Yes! The description of each design will tell you what aspects can be changed. In most cases the card colour can be changed, as well as the colours of embellishments and inserts. Once you have chosen your design then you will be able to specify colours on the order form.

Can the insert wording be changed?
We have compiled a list of common wordings which can be used in your invitations but if you have something else in mind then we can accommodate your wishes. Simply tick the relevant box on the order form and attach or email a copy of the wording you wish to use.

Do cards come with envelopes?
Yes, all cards come with matching envelopes. They are provided blank for you to write your guests details on but if you would like us to address all your envelopes for you we can do this for an additional cost.

What do you do with my details?
Your details are held confidentially on a password protected computer while your order is being compiled and we would never sell your details to any third party (we hate junk mail as much as you do!) Once your order has been dispatched we will hold your details for a further 14 days just in case of any delivery problems. After this point all details apart from Bride & Grooms first names and the area in which you live will be permanently and safely deleted from out system. The information kept will be purely for information purposes, ie: “Sarah and Paul from Buckinghamshire purchased the Hermione design”. If, after your wedding, you decide to write a testimonial for Cara’s Cards, your comments along with the limited information stated above may be placed on our website.

What happens if I need to cancel my order?
If you decide to cancel your order before you return your proofs then a refund to the value of 75% of deposit paid will be given. The remaining 25% will cover time and resources taken to compile your proofs as well as postage costs. Orders cancelled once proofs have been approved must be paid for in full due to their personalised nature.

We therefore highly recommend that any couple planning a wedding ensure they have appropriate insurances in place to cover in case of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.

Can I change the font or colour of my wording?
Of Course! Our order form has a selection of fonts and colours to choose from,  simply tick the box that suits your taste. However, if you don’t see the font or colour that you had in mind then please contact us and we will endeavour to help.

When should I order my stationery?
Wedding invitations are usually sent out 3 months before the big day, therefore we would advise that you aim to place your order 5-6 months prior to your wedding. We are well aware that at the point of ordering you will probably not know how many Orders of Service, Menus, Place Cards and Thank You Cards you will need so we advise that you order an estimated figure which can be amended nearer the time. If you are sending Save the Date cards these will need to be ordered with an aim to being posted 6 months prior to your big day.

 

Baby Stationery

How long does it take to make my order?
Once we have received your order we will design your item(s) and email a proof to you within 48 hours for your approval. Feel free to email us with any changes you wish to make; there is no limit on how many proofs you can have. Once we have received confirmation that you are 100% happy with your design we will process your order and send it to you via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery within 14 working days.

How much is postage?
We charge a flat rate of £3.95 per order which is sent via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery. This service requires a signature upon delivery. Postage is free on all orders over £50.

Can I change the font or colour of my wording?
Of course! Once we have emailed you a proof made up using your order details you can request any changes you like until you are 100% happy.

What happens if I have to cancel my order?
Orders cancelled before you confirm your proof will receive a refund to the value of 90% of the cost paid. The remaining 10% will cover the time taken to compile your proof. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund after you have  confirmed  your proofs due to the personalised nature of the product.

My order arrived damaged – help!
In the unfortunate and unlikely event that your order arrives damaged then please contact us as soon as possible. We will chase a claim with Royal Mail to cover our own costs and in the mean time will remake your items as a matter of urgency and resend via Royal Mail Special Delivery which is guaranteed next day.

Do all cards come with envelopes?
Yes, all our cards come with white envelopes.

Do I have to edit my own photo before sending it?

Not at all. We will crop, resize and reduce red eye on any photo you decide to send should it need it. Most of our designs feature black and white pictures which we can do using a colour photo, however if you would like your photo to remain in colour then please let us know and we can do that for you.
